There will be serveral contributions by XPrag.de members at the 39th Annual Meeting of the German Linguistic Society (DGfS) to be held at the Saarland University, Saarbrücken from March 8th – 10th 2017.
Manfred Krifka from project “YesNo” is one of the key note speakers. On March 8th, 9:30 – 10:30, he will give a talk on “Focus in answers and questions in Commitment-Space Semantics” (B 4.1, 0.01)
Anke Holler from project “ProComPrag” is one of the organizers of the workshop AG 2 on “Information structuring in discourse” (Gebäude B 3.1, Raum 0.14). At this workshop, there will be a talk on March 9th, 12:15 – 12:45, by Clare Patterson and Claudia Felser from project “L2PronRes” on “Cleft focus and accessibility: Online vs. offline differences”
At the workshop AG 3 on “Sekundäre Information und ihre sprachliche Kodierung” (Gebäude B 3.1, Raum 0.13) there will be two talks by XPrag.de members. On March 8th, 14:15 – 14.45, XPrag.de associate Stefan Hinterwimmer (U Cologne) will talk on “The Bavarian discourse particle fei as a marker of non-at-issueness”. And, on March 9th, 14:15 – 14:45, Nadine Bade (“ObTrEx”) and Joseph P. DeVeaugh-Geiss (“ExCl”) will give a talk together with Agata Renans (Ulster) on “Presupposition triggers in a cross-linguistic perspective: maximize presupposition vs. obligatory implicatures in Ga(Kwa)”
On March 8th, 14:45 – 15:15, Thomas Weskott and Anke Holler from project “ProComPrag” will give a talk together with Stefanie Rößler on “N1-accessibility as a matter of compound processing” at the workshop AG 7 on “Wen wurmt der Ohrwurm? – An interdisciplinary, cross-lingual perspective on the role of constituents in multi-word expressions” (B 4.1, Raum 0.24)
On March 9th, 09:00 – 10:00, Marlijn Meijer from project “YesNo” will give a talk with the title “How believing so is different from believing it” at the workshop AG 10 on “Polysemy and coercion of clause-embedding predicates” (B 4.1, Room 0.07)
On March 9th, 10:00 – 10:30, Stavros Skopeteas form project “FoTeRo” will talk on “Clitic placement and implications for the syntax-prosody mapping” at the workshop AG 6 on “Prosody in syntactic encoding” (B 4.1, Raum 0.25)
